Mechanical Ventilation Systems

With Mechanical Ventilation (MV), air from hot rooms such as kitchens and bathrooms is extracted through a central unit.

This produces a controlled low pressure within the building. Much smaller than normal trickle vents within windows and doors are then used to draw in fresh air.

Once installed, the system will automatically optimise the conditions of each room in your property, balancing humidity, filtering pollutants, and improving air quality.

Heat Recovery

With Mechanical Ventilation & Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems, air is extracted from hot rooms such as kitchens and bathrooms. Then, differing from mechanical ventilation alone, the air passes through a heat exchanger before being expelled from the building.

The heat from the exchanger is then transferred into fresh air drawn into the building and distributed throughout the rooms.

  • Extremely high efficiency
  • Maximum energy recovery
  • Building remains airtight

Is a Mechanical Ventilation suitable for me?

MV and MVHR systems can significantly improve your building's air quality and overall condition through removing allergens, pollutants, and moisture that can create mould problems. They're a great option if you want your passive home or commercial building to have the freshest and cleanest indoor air environment possible.

It's important to consider that periodic maintenance is required for the system, and it will generate a small amount of noise at times (although most people do not find it disturbing).

Get in touch and we'll discuss your needs before developing the best solution for you. We always offer impartial advice and if we do not feel a MV or MVHR is right for you, we'll suggest an alternative, even if it's not a system we provide.
