Heating Engineer

About the role:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Heating Engineer, with experience installing and
commissioning work on:

- new build
- retrofitting
- domestic central heating
- heat pumps
- hot and cold water services
- mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR)
- first and second fix

The successful candidate will be able to work to a high standard independently and be able to train
an apprentice or trainee.

This position will allow you to work on interesting and industry leading self-build projects,
occasionally showcased on television.

A secondary role will be to support Aura to ensure the company can always deliver projects to a high
standard.

About you:

You're someone who has a friendly and approachable manner with the ability to
communicate effectively, and will have the ability to take accurate measurements with a strong
attention to detail. You will need to be able to work independently on tasks and under your own
initiative, as well as working well within a team.

You'll have a responsible and professional attitude, with a proactive approach to work, and you
should be self-motivated and committed to completing tasks. You'll work calmly under pressure in
response to unexpected events and interruptions, being able to think logically and stay organised,
allowing yourself to prioritise and multitask workloads.

While maintaining a professional appearance and a confident manner, you'll be a strong member of
the team, who is supportive of colleagues and others.

The ideal candidate will have:

- Minimum 2 years experience
- NVQ Level 3 Plumbing (or similar professional body, e.g. City & Guilds).
- Acquired/grandfather rights’ considered
- Own tools required (specialist tools provided)
- Full current driving licence

Other requirements:

- Good understanding of maths
- Willing to undertake occasional work outside of normal working hours
- Willing to undertake continuing personal development
